Congress as an Institutional Body

To: Congress as an Institutional Body December 23, 2009

I am an American Patriot, I fervently believe in the Declaration of Independence, The United States Constitution, Our Bill of Rights of which the first ten Amendments were added to protect the Citizens of this great country from an intrusive, and oppressive Government. I am a frequent reader of the Federalist Papers. Given the aforementioned preface it is understandable that I take the dictates of the founding documents seriously.

I am educated, I can read, Comprehend, form rational conclusions, and effectively articulate those conclusions. Having stated that, I am trying to draw a parallel between what the Constitution states, what I see going on in the Congress today, and there is no congruity between the two. The members of Congress seem to never have read the Constitution, or just blatantly ignore its dictates if they have read it, and just freelance to achieve their political agenda. These are irresponsible, and unethical character flaws that are unacceptable to the people who elected them to office as their representatives.

It is incomprehensible to me how a bill that is over 2,000 pages long, written in the vernacular of legalese can be read, and fully comprehended by all that have a responsibility to do just that (read it) , but do not, and yet vote on it. If no one, (or very few people) has actually read the Bill, then who wrote it? I have an idea that these bills are written by an entity external to the united States Congress. The way Congress is force feeding these power grabbing Bills down the throats of the American people, without understanding what is in them I believe is grossly irresponsible. Compounding this irresponsibility is the fact that you have unintended consequences incurred by making the Bill Law. What are those unintended consequences, huh?

As previously stated in the opening paragraph, I take these founding documents very serious, I expect my Representative and my Senators to do the same. I am going to quote (in-part) the Declaration of Independence, I want you to do a deep, soul searching look into your performance and see how you measure up;
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed with by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness. That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed. That whenever any form of Government becomes destructive of these ends, it is the right of the people to alter or to abolish it, and instate new Government, laying it's foundation on such principles and organizing its powers in such form, a to them seem most likely to effect their safety and happiness…………….."

These are powerful words, and should be heeded, and not to be taken lightly. Are those meaningless words to you?

The next exercise for you, is to do some more soul searching in regards to the Oath of Office you took on the day you were sworn in with your hand on the Holy Bible. Have you lived up to that Oath, especially the part that you "Shall be bound by oath or affirmation to support this Constitution," ? Here is an example of what I mean. During Speaker Pelosi's push to get the House version of the Health Care Reform pushed through by whatever means was necessary, a news reporter was heard to say "Madam Speaker, where in the Constitution does it say that you can mandate Health Care for Every American? The Speaker replied with these three little words, "Are you serious?" So you see what we the American people are up against………..and we do not like it!

Quite frankly I believe that you have all forgotten the very things I have written about here. Honor, truth , ethics, and responsibility to your constituents and your Oath of Office. These character traits are rarely found in the members of the three branches of Government. Corruption, Fascism, tyranny are rife in this Government. You have lost the trust of your constituents, they have become cynical, and tired of deals made behind closed doors, passing legislation in the dark of night, and deals that squander our financial resources with special deals to favor certain members of your elitist fraternity. When you are using tax payer dollars to bribe a Senator or Congressman to get their vote, rational thinking people see this as criminal, and this has happened just very recently with three Senators, and you know who I mean. We are tired of being told what is best for us, and that you know better. I think that you had better wake up and smell the roses, get back to the Constitution, and stop spending money we don't have.



If you continue down the path that this President is taking this country, without standing up for America and its people, and continue to ignore the issues I have written about in this letter, I can only surmise that you are following the agenda of a Marxist President, whom we know very little about, and is implementing the Marx Dialectic Lens too our American way of life, as well as Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals . I can only surmise that you are in agreement with this Marxist President take over of our America, and you will be stopped.

Your actions since this new administration has taken over has undoubtably awakened a sleeping giant, and a paradigm shift is happening at this very moment. You will all pay for your actions
at the ballot box. A Progressiveness/Statist government will not stand in the good old USA!
